Responsibilities of Ammanford Town Council
Ammanford Town Council provides a range of services of benefit to the Town including:
- Operating public toilets at Ammanford Park (Open during March to October) and Margaret Street. These facilities are currently free of charge.
- We also provide a range of social and recreational facilities including: Ammanford Park and Play Area including Splash Park
- Ammanford Recreation Ground & Skate Park
- Carregaman Play Park
- Maes Y Coed Play Park
- Norman Road Play Park
- Pantyffynnon Play Park
- Riverway Play Park & MUGA
Ammanford Town Council manages The Recreation Ground on behalf of Carmarthenshire County Council
(maintenance remains the responsibility of Carmarthenshire Council). In addition to existing grass cutting responsibilities, Ammanford Town Council has a service level agreement with Carmarthenshire County Council to conduct grass cutting, horticultural work and footpaths maintenance in areas of Ammanford and surrounding areas.
The Town Council Offices are located on Iscennen Road, Ammanford. They are generally staffed from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Members of the public are welcome to visit the offices to speak with members of staff.
The Town Council Offices are currently closed to the public due to current legislative restrictions.
